The Beverly-Begg Observatory is a Dunedin landmark located at 1A City Road, Belleknowes.
Come along to see and learn about our night sky. The team at the Dunedin Astronomical Society will provide a laser guided tour of the night sky where you can see the planets, constellations and learn about different types of stars.
In addition you will be able to look through a telescope and see some magnificent sights.
We will also open our large dome at the Beverly-Begg Observatory.
Come along for a fantastic night and bring along children, family and friends - our night sky has exciting things to see regardless of age and knowledge.
Bring along questions about space and we can try our best to answer them.

Hosted by the Dunedin Astronomical Society: The Society was established in 1910 and is open to anyone with an interest in astronomy. They run an Astronomy 101 course on visual observing, using a telescope, general astronomy and astrophotography. The Society supports Dunedin Dark Skies and is pleased that the DCC agreed to shield the new LED city lights to improve night sky viewing.
