Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year Talks Climate (Sold Out)

We are thrilled to announce that Dr Jim Salinger will give a talk on climate change. 

Jim is a distinguished international climate scientist. He was part of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007. Last month he became the Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year for his work on climate.

Jim’s talk is called Southern New Zealand : Climate trends and implications of shifts in the Southern Alps glaciers.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions from the audience at the end.

Dr Jim Salinger, CRSNZ, was born and worked in Dunedin for the first almost three decades of his life doing his first degree at the University of Otago and working there. Now through Victoria University he works as an advocate for the climate and environment with the intergenerational ambassadors - a collective looking to unite New Zealanders across the generations for positive change.
